Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Abby. The fact that you’re here makes me incredible happy {evidence: picture above}. I would love to know who you are and your story. I believe we all have a story that is meant to be shared, that we have truths that need to be heard and that life is better when we do that together.

A little about me.

I love Michigan State basketball, Detroit Tigers baseball, books and practicing hospitality. I love the community of people I get to do life with, whether they live states away or blocks away from me.

I have a slight obsession with the state of Michigan, personality tests and talking about organizational culture. Oh and if you mention Parks and Rec, Harry Potter, or the StrengthFinders Test in front of me, you’ll find I’m a little in love with those things as well.

I live each day enthralled with the love and mystery of Jesus, but I’m almost always wondering what that really means. I also believe that we are meant to care deeply about the injustices in our world.  I hope my writing can help challenge what we think so that we can be more deeply committed to love, justice, mercy and compassion. Because that is what Jesus is about.

I created my little corner on the internet to create a place that allows people to work towards wholeness. I want to help people live into who they are meant to be. It’s messy, it’s definitely not easy, but ultimately, it’s worth it.

We all should be pursuing wholeness for ourselves and for the world.

We don’t have to be on this pursuit alone.  I’m so happy you’re here and hope you’ll join me on this journey!

  1. So…I went to college in Michigan, and it has such a special place in my heart. I’ve moved back to Maryland, but I still go back a couple times a year to visit. Because it might just be the best state in the USA. 🙂 And, I graduated with my Master’s in Community/Clinical Counseling from Eastern in 2011…and I LOVED it! Good luck and best wishes as you work through your program!

I’m so glad you found my blog, and I’m so glad to have found yours! I’m so glad to *meet* you! 🙂
